AWARDS CRITERIA
Vision and Leadership
The nominee must have demonstrated vision and leadership over several years in the local and regional
market. This includes specific situations or initiatives where the nominee’s insight, discernment and ability
to lead during DIFFICULY and CHALLENGING times and inspire has guided his or her organization to a
new level of sustainable growth, achievement or recognition. He/She must be able to adapt in the NEW
Normal way of doing business and sets revised NEW goals to achieve taking into count NEW ways of
forging ahead.
Corporate Performance
Financial information is an important indicator of success. The panel of judges will examine financial
statistics for the nominee’s organization for the past two plus one fiscal years. Leadership in board
governance policy, integrity management and procedure compliance will also be assessed. Being resilient
towards this year’s financial challenges would be given special focus this year.
Global Competitiveness
Despite the challenges faced, Global competitiveness details would be looked into for any international
initiatives undertaken by the nominee. This may involve situations where the nominee has foreseen
potential new markets abroad, enhanced operations in other countries, set up foreign ventures or
expanded the organization’s affairs internationally. It is important to recognize any internal or external
barriers to this global expansion, and strategies used by the nominee to overcome them. For organisations
that are primarily domestic in scope but operate on a world-class level, performance will be compared with
that of global competitors in the same sector/industry.
Innovative Business Achievements
How is the nominee’s organization unique or innovative in its relationships with its employees and its
customers? What are its major products and/or services? Why is it unique and how has it demonstrated
excellence in its field? How does the organization or individual adapt into the NEW Normal way of
business and forging ahead with new ideas and new product lines?
Sustainability Initiative
In addition to corporate performance and innovation, a truly outstanding leader will use his or her skills to
incorporate sustainability initiative to help the company grow organically and overcome social or
environmental problems by providing solutions in its products or services. Now and beyond this, a leader
must be prepared yet able to withstand and weather the unexpected.
